For over two decades, I've produced content and conversations featuring world leaders, activists, artists, and everyday people doing extraordinary things — leading breaking news teams, hosting shows for NPR, the BBC, and American Public Media, and building creator programs at Spotify.
And the thing that struck me in every place I worked — on both sides of the mic — is this: the most important voices in any room are rarely the loudest ones. They're the ones with the most specific, most human, most hard-won thing to say, and they're overlooking the value of their hard-won wisdom or experience. Or life might have taught them to stay silent. Yet, that gap — between the story someone is telling and the one they actually want or need to tell — is what I've spent my career closing.
